Art on Skin Magazine releases the last Friday of every month, both virtually and in print form. Our virtual magazines are free to view on our Digital Bookcase and print copies are available through the links on our Print Editions page.
Every month we feature wonderful members of the tattooed community, their art, and their stories. We lift up all women from all walks of life, at any age, and celebrate what makes them unique, and are excited that we now feature male models and their stories as well. All our covers, except our December Issue, feature a honeycomb motif, giving every one of our models to the chance to be on top.
Our December Issue features our only single model cover of the year: our Skinspiration Winner. All of our featured models throughout the year are eligible to be our Skinspiration, and it’s up to you to decide who should win.
AOS Magazine includes articles about tattoo life, culture, and history. We do features showcasing tattoo artists, female business owners, and tattoo styles. We try to celebrate tattoo culture and the everyone who loves it in everything we do.
Our Selection Process
Great news! Our model selection process is completely unbiased and fair! Every month, we use a Randomizer to select the next featured models for our upcoming issue. All applicants who have submitted usable photos and completed the application are entered to win. The selection process typically takes place one week before the release of our next issue. You do not need to apply monthly, we retain your application until you are chosen!
Previously featured models are welcome to reapply each year! We now have a new application just for you! New pictures will need to be submitted with a new application.
New models will have double the chance of being selected by our Randomizer and the same model cannot win Skinspiration two years in a row (though they can be refeatured).
