About AOS
We started Art on Skin Magazine to honor and showcase tattooed women from diverse demographics and backgrounds. Now, we’re excited to be featuring female and male models, along with everyone in between. We strive to uplift the whole tattooed community and continue to amplify female voices in the inked world. We use a random generator to choose our cover models every month to give everyone, regardless of experience, a chance to shine. Each edition of our publication will feature remarkable tattooed inspirations, celebrating their unique stories and artistic expressions through their tattoos. We look forward to sharing these inspiring narratives with you.
As we developed and talked about the magazine’s cover, the idea of doing a honeycomb theme where all of the featured individuals could be on the cover formed. It is our way to say there is room for everyone at the top.
Kate Turnipseed
Kate is the driving force behind Art on Skin Magazine, where she serves as both the Editor-in-Chief and Design Director. What began as an idea has flourished into a magazine that highlights the beauty of tattoos and the personal stories they carry. Under Kate’s leadership, the magazine has grown significantly, featuring a diverse array of tattooed women, artists, and community-driven events like flash competitions and contests. Kate’s passion for tattoos as a form of self-expression and as a tool for preserving memories shines through in every issue. But Kate’s true pride lies in the supportive community she’s cultivated through the magazine. She has created a space where women can share their journeys, lean on each other for support, and grow together. Kate’s vision for Art on Skin Magazine is not just about tattoos, but about building connections and empowering others through shared experiences.
Emily Franchini
Emily is our Executive Editor and Content Director. We would certainly be lost on social media without all of Emily’s hard work! She spends countless hours putting together daily posts for our Facebook and Instagram accounts! From finding images, researching monthly holidays, reading through advice from our models, and putting it all together, Emily single-handedly takes care of Facebook and Instagram accounts. That’s not all Emily does, however. She writes at least one article monthly for AOS and takes care of all the model biographies! The thing we love most about Emily is that she’s the ultimate team player. She is always there to jump in when we need her to do something extra.
Emily LeVasseur
Emily joined our team in November 2024 as a Multimedia Contributor and is now a Contributing Writer! She launched our new TikTok account and completely set us up on that platform. Now, she has also rolled into a writing role! Emily helps write our Reddit Reactions and is working on her first full article for our June 2025 Issue. We certainly didn’t take it easy on her by giving her a Reddit article involving a butt tattoo as her first reaction piece. We can always count on Emily to be a positive force in the AOS Team.
Kaitlin Langhorn
Kaitlin is the newest member of our team, and officially joined us in July 2025 as a Contributing Writer! Her first article will be the featured article in our July 2025 Issue, releasing July 25, 2025, and we look forward to reading all her future contributions! Kaitlin was originally featured in our July 2024 Issue as a model, so it’s fitting that her team member debut is exactly one year later! She is truly a wonderful addition to our little AOS Family and we’re thrilled to add her to our pages!
